Indfos pressure switch type PS/PSU is a triple pole device, meant to regulate pressure in small air compressors and water pressurization plants.

These switches cut off a 3-phase power supply when the pressure rises to a preset value and cuts in the power supply when the pressure falls to another predetermined value. Both cut off and cut in pressures are independently adjustable. All models are provided with a manual cut off switch (except PSU15X). Type PSU switch is additionally provided with a relief valve, which ensures load free starting of the compressor.

RT Series pressure switches utilize a seamless bellows as sensing element. The bellows can be either phosphor bronze or stainless steel to suit various kinds of process medium. Type MP is a Single Pole double throw (SPDT) pressure control for stopping and starting small refrigeration compressors using CFC, HCFC, HFC, and R717 refrigerants. These switches are available in Low pressure, High pressure and Combined High/Low pressure versions.

The successful design and the excellent functionality of the WIKA switch family were already confirmed by winning the “iF product design award 2009″ for the electronic pressure switch.

The robust LED display has been designed using 9 mm high characters (the largest possible) and with a slight incline in order to make reading the pressure as easy as possible from a long way off. A 14-segment display has been used, since it represents text very well.

The 3-key operation makes simple, intuitive menu navigation possible, with no need for additional assistance. The menu navigation conforms to the latest VDMA standard. A new VDMA standard for fluid sensors (24574-1, part 1 – pressure switches) has the aim of simplifying the use of pressure switches by standardising menu navigation and display.
The control keys have been designed as large as possible and are arranged ergonomically to ensure fast and easy adjustments. Operation without any additional assistance is made easier through the tactile feedback.
